McKensey Kemmerer, a native of Lancaster, Ohio, joined the team in August 2002. After receiving her degree in Accounting from Harding University, McKensey moved to Jinja to work with The Source of Life Resource Center and Cafe, our team's redemptive business project. McKensey worked alongside Clint & Danny and later took over the role as manager. During her third and final year at The Source, McKensey trained Moses Kimeze, a Ugandan national, to manage this operation. McKensey also co-led the Jinja and Bukaya women's cell groups, taught ladies health education to village church women and enjoyed volunteering at local orphanages (as pictured).
McKensey returned to the States in June 2005. In her own words, God used my time in Africa to change and mold me and I was tremendously blessed by the experiences and friends I left behind. As the song says, Africa, I came to change you but instead you changed me. This was definitely my experience. I hope to return to Uganda on an ongoing basis. I will forever be a missionary at heart and hope to be a part of overseas mission work again someday.
McKensey has recently moved to Nashville, TN. She is the Operations Service Manager for Shaohannahs Hope, a foundation started by Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman that gives grants to Christian families who are adopting. In addition, they support orphanages in Uganda and China which coincidentally is where her brother Tyler is now working. Check out the work she is a part of at
www.shaohannahshope.org
and

. McKensey is so thankful for the job that God provided and is enjoying working for a ministry that touches the lives of orphans all over the world
especially those in Uganda!
