Jinja Mission Team - Busoga Churches of Christ

Erika moved to Jinja in 2001 as teacher for the team's children.  She taught team and other missionary/expatriate children in our own little international school…located in the Barton's garage!

As the families began moving back to the States, Erika started working with women in our village churches, teaching health and Bible lessons alongside Ida Bazonoona, a Ugandan church leader.   She also offered teacher training courses to preschool teachers from the surrounding villages.

In 2005, Erika moved back to the States.  She currently lives in Austin , Texas with her sister and teaches kindergarten.   She worships with the Westover Hills Church of Christ. 

She will always be thankful for her time in Jinja and the way God crossed her path with so many of his amazing people!
